F+S graphic form + meaningful appeal

in-class assignment:
Brainstorm various graphic approaches (to: color palette, typography, stylistic references, rendering methods and composition) that one might employ to achieve pathos, ethos, and logos modes of appeals.

Find+share examples of each (and link to source). For each, label the mode and describe the connection between graphic form and meaningful appeal (see below).
Logos: Factual data and statistics are visualized by simple, vector-based diagrams.

Ethos: Restrained, sincere and fair minded attitude presented via understated, centered-aligned typography. Design by Louise Fili.

Pathos: Vivid product description is displayed with a full-color action-shot.
